"Foram definitivamente cenas que eu lutei com mais do que outros: o acidente de carro e a tempestade são dois que vêm à mente. É difícil escrever sobre uma tempestade. Existem apenas muitas maneiras de descrevê-lo e nosso vocabulário é tão limitado. E a cena do acidente de carro exigia uma qualidade manicial e tensa que teve que ser transmitida na linguagem, bem como o diálogo e as ações do personagem. Eu estava editando essas cenas muito depois que eu pensei que terminei com eles."

There were definitely scenes I struggled with more than others: the car accident and the thunderstorm are two that come to mind. It's difficult to write about a thunderstorm. There are only so many ways to describe it and our vocabulary is so limited. And the car accident scene required a tense, manic quality that had to be conveyed in the language, as well as the character's dialogue and actions. I was editing these scenes long after I thought I was finished with them.
