"Este é o dia das maravilhas. A terra é coberta de árvores como uma cabeça com cabelo e atrás da nave, o sol nasce inclinando as árvores superiores com luz. O céu é claro e brilhando como uma placa da China e a água brincando com vento. Cada wisp de nevoeiro se foi e o ar está cheio do cheiro resinoso das árvores. As aves marinhas estão piscando acima das velas douradas como criaturas do céu, mas os marinheiros levantam algumas fotos para mantê-las do aparelhamento."

This is the day of wonders. The land is covered with trees like a head with hair and behind the ship the sun rises tipping the top trees with light. The sky is clear and shining as a china plate and the water playfully ruffled with wind. Every wisp of fog is gone and the air is full of the resinous smell of the trees. Seabirds are flashing above the sails golden like creatures from Heaven, but the sailors raise a few shots to keep them from the rigging.
